Cork Technology Services are pleased to announce the release of a new web site for the Aran Island Ferries company. Based in Galway and sailing out of Rhos a' Mhíl (Rossaveal) the company runs a fleet of modern luxury ferries to the three Islands.

The brief for the new site included an updated booking form that allows the customer to book from anywhere within the site. The site also makes use of  the Mootools Javascript framework to power slide shows on the home and fleet pages and a gallery of the Islands pages.

The maps on the old site were replaced with mashups of the Microsoft Live Maps. Not only does this provide an accurate zoomable map of Galway City Centre it also allows the user to display a 'birds eye view' of the area in great detail. A route map to the ferry terminal is also provided using a Live Maps mashup.
